How To Make The Perfect Dairy-Free Iced Coffee Frappuccino

I love iced coffee drinks, but with two teenagers who have also discovered their awesomeness, I dislike dropping exorbitant amounts of cash to support my family’s coffee addiction.

Making iced coffee drinks at home is so much cheaper than buying them and you have 100% control over the ingredients, which is super important if you have dietary restrictions like me. I am allergic to cow’s milk, so that means no dairy for me!

The key to making the perfect dairy-free iced coffee frappuccino is preparation, a good quality strong coffee and a great tasting dairy-free milk alternative.

You need to use frozen coffee cubes and cold coffee, so it takes a little planning and prep work ahead of time. Once you have everything organized, these tasty frappuccinos only take a couple of minutes to whip up.

To avoid the iced coffee drink from becoming watered down, use frozen coffee cubes in place of ice water cubes. They pack much more flavor. An easy way to build up your stock of coffee cubes is to pour any leftover coffee into ice cube trays and freeze, instead of tossing it away.

Use a good quality organic coffee and brew it strong. Every 4 or 5 days, I will make a pot of extra strong coffee and pour it into mason jars. When the coffee is cool, I place the jars in the fridge. I have cold coffee ready any time the craving for a dairy-free iced coffee frappuccino strikes me.

Whether you can’t drink milk or choose not to because you are following a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle, it is important to find a dairy-free alternative to milk that tastes good and one that you actually like to drink. I find many non-dairy milk alternatives leave much to be desired, lacking in both flavor and body.

Once you have all your ingredients prepped and ready, dairy-free iced coffee frappuccinos are super quick and easy to make. Follow these three simple steps for making the perfect dairy-free iced coffee frappuccino that will wakeup your tastebuds and give you that much needed jolt of caffeinated energy. Want to skip the caffeine? Use decaffeinated coffee instead!

1. Place 2 cups frozen coffee ice cubes into a blender.

2. Pour cold coffee, Silk Almond Vanilla Milk, and vanilla syrup in next and pulverize.

3. Pour into glasses and enjoy!

Dairy-Free Iced Coffee Frappuccino Recipe

3/4 cup cold coffee

2 cups coffee ice cubes

1/2 cup Silk Almond Vanilla Milk

3 tablespoons Vanilla syrup

Sugar or other sweetener if desired to taste.

1. Place cold coffee, frozen coffee cubes, Silk Almond Vanilla Milk and vanilla syrup into a blender.
2. Add sweetener to taste if desired.
3. Set the blenders settings to HIGH and using the ice crush setting, blend until the ice is crushed.
4. Pour immediately into a glass and enjoy!
