Are you looking for some delicious and easy Christmas cookies to make for a holiday party, a cookie exchange, gift giving or to add to your collection of holiday baking? These Christmas Chocolate Chip Pretzel Cookies are a festive twist on a favorite classic. They are easy to make and taste delicious too!
I used a classic chocolate chip cookie recipe and added festive stir-ins to make them Christmasy. I substituted red and green holiday M & M chocolate candies for the chocolate chips, used salted pretzels instead of nuts and added tiny toffee bits for an extra crunch of sweetness. You could also add a cup of peanuts for even more crunchiness. The more stir ins you add, the more they become like Christmas monster cookies.
These cookies are crunchy and sweet, with a subtle hint of saltiness. The salt from the crunchy pretzels enhances the sweetness from the chocolate and tiny toffee bits. Serve them with a cup of cold milk or a mug of steaming hot coffee.
Christmas chocolate chip pretzel cookies are a great recipe to add to your holiday recipe box. They are so yummy and , your friends and family will request these year after year. I have a sneaking suspicion that Santa likes these cookies too!
