These chocolate peanut butter cupcakes are so simple to make, they couldn’t get any easier. They are made with a Reese Peanut Butter And Chocolate Cupcake Mix. All you need to do is add water, oil and eggs to the mix, then beat and pour into cupcake liners. For the peanut butter filling and chocolate frosting, just add butter and milk to the prepared mixes. So easy, this is a great recipe for kids to bake.
The box includes everything you need to make 12 cupcakes including prepared mixes for the chocolate cupcakes, peanut butter filling and chocolate frosting. You also get one pastry bag for piping the peanut butter filling into the cupcakes. The only ingredients you need are oil, eggs, butter, milk and water.
How To Make Reese Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes
1. Gather Your Ingredients
Ingredients You Will Need:
- Reese Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcake Mix
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons + 2 tablespoons softened butter
- 4 teaspoons + 2 tablespoons milk
- 2/3 cup water
- 12 paper baking cups
Equipment You Will Need:
- muffin pan
- 3 bowls
- electric mixer
Make sure you have a clean work area and gather all the ingredients and equipment you need before you get started. Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a muffin tin with paper baking cups for a total of 12.
2. Prepare The Cupcakes
Add the cupcake mix, eggs, oil and water to a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer for 2 minutes on high, scraping the sides midway with a spatula.
Spoon 1/4 cup of batter into each cupcake liner, dividing evenly among 12 cupcakes.
Bake for 21 to 24 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cupcake comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes. Remove from pan and allow to cool for another 30 minutes.
3. Prepare The Chocolate Frosting
While the cupcakes are baking, prepare the chocolate frosting and peanut butter filling. Place the package of frosting mix, 2 tablespoons softened butter and 2 tablespoons milk into a medium bowl and beat on medium for 60 seconds, until smooth and creamy.
4. Prepare The Peanut Butter Filling
Place the package of peanut butter filling mix, 2 tablespoons of softened butter and 4 teaspoons of milk into a medium bowl and beat on medium speed for 60 seconds, until smooth and no lumps remain.
Place the pastry bag inside a tall glass and fill with the peanut butter filling. Using a glass makes it easier to get the filling to the bottom of the bag with the least amount of mess. Snip 1/2″ from the end of the pastry bag.
5. Build The Cupcakes
Insert the end of the pastry bag into the middle of each cupcake.
Squeeze about 1 tablespoon of filling into the center of each cupcake.
Frost the tops of the cupcakes with the chocolate frosting. Serve and enjoy!
