Do you have the “Frozen Fever”? Have you seen the “Frozen Fever” animated short yet? For the time being, the only way to watch the short is to go see the new Cinderella movie in the theaters which is playing now. Our house is running rampant with a case of “Frozen Fever” and when Disney announced that plans are in the works for a Frozen 2 movie, my daughter became super excited, inspiring me to make a batch of these sweet Disney Frozen Inspired Cotton Candy Popsicles to share in her excitement.
These Disney Frozen Inspired Cotton Candy Popsicles are made with a few simple ingredients including milk, cream, vanilla pudding, blue cotton candy, blue food dye and cotton candy extract flavoring.
I used pre-spun cotton candy to sweeten the ice pops, but if cotton candy is unavailable in your stores, substitute with 2 tablespoons of white sugar instead. To give these popsicles a true cotton candy flavor, I added a drop of cotton candy flavoring. This stuff tastes amazing and I use it mostly to flavor buttercream frosting for cupcakes.
I made these Disney Frozen Inspired Cotton Candy Popsicles in our Zoku Quick Pop Maker, which if you already follow my blog, will know my family and I absolutely love it. Each batch of cotton candy popsicle mix makes enough for 6 Zoku popsicles and take less than 20 minutes to freeze.
Of course, the cotton candy popsicles can be made in regular slow freeze molds or paper cups too. Just allow an extra 6 to 8 hours freezing time.
For a large gathering, you can make as many batches as you need ahead of time and store the popsicles in a Zoku Storage Case or containers lined with parchment paper.
